BUILDINGS AND GROUNDS
Altar Linens
    This group consists of anyone who is willing to wash altar liner
Church Cleaning
    This group is responsible for light dusting and vacuuming of the church. It is a 2 hour commitment per month.
Garden Committee
    These members meet on Tuesday evenings from spring to fall t( plant and maintain annuals and other flower gardens

CHRISTIAN SERVICE

Bereavement Ministry
    This group helps provide the services needed for families who have lost a loved one. They support the family by being preseni at the Wake Service, by serving as liturgical ministers at the Funeral Mass or Memorial Service, and by assisting at the grave site. This ministry also includes a support group which is available t( provide healing and consolation for those going through the grieving period. Training is provided for all new members
Childcare (during the Sunday Mass)
    This group enables parents to attend the lOam Sunday Mass while their children are taken care of in the school. An orientation session will be provided.
Elizabeth Ministry
    This ministry is a response to the needs of women during the childbearing years by being supportive and assisting one another Some areas are help in an emergency or crisis, baby-sitting, make a meal program and grandparent support. This fairly new ministry is currently undergoing revisions to fit our parish profile. More development is needed.
Visitation Ministry
    This ministry brings the love, care and Eucharist from our faith community to those who are homebound, hospitalized or in nursing homes. We meet several times a year for training, support and socialization. If you or someone you know is in need of a visit, please contact ti parish office. Also, please be aware that if you are admitted to an area hospital, upon admission, you MUST allow yourself to be listed in the Hospital Directory if you want anyone, including ou Pastoral Care Team, to know that you are present and can receive a visitor. Please tell them you are from Christ the King.

FAITH FORMATION

Baptismal Preparation
    This ministry serves parents who desire their child to receive the Sacrament of Baptism there are 5 areas in which to serve: 1) Contact Person, 2) Class Presenters, 3) Community Representatives who assist on the day of Baptism, 4) Sewers for the white Baptismal gown. Time commitment approx. lhr, 2-3 times a year 5) Card Person responsible for mailing a 1st year anniversary card to families. All are welcome Training is provided.
Catechists Pre-School-Grade 5
    We are looking for people who together with parents help develop and support our children's relationships with God and the church. We provide doctrine, prayer experiences and service opportunities. All catechists are expected to complete basic certification and participate in ongoing formation. Ministry involves planning, preparation, as well as a commitment to prayer and the
All practicing Catholics willing to share their faith are welcome.
    Pre-School & Kindergarten, Sundays 10:00-1 1:00am. K-5 Tuesdays 3:l0-4:20pm. Grades 1-5, 6:00-7:l0pm. Training is provided.
Children's Liturgy of the Word
    Children will be dismissed for the Liturgy of the Word on Sundays at the lOam Mass so that they may have the opportunity to hear and respond to the Sunday scriptures in age appropriate ways. Love of scripture and children and a commitment to ongoing formation are crucial. The teams will be set up and trained.
Faith Formation Sunday School
    This program is offered on Sundays from 10-11, Sept-April, in the school. It is geared to children ages 3 and 4 and is an interactive, hands on approach designed to develop a personal and communal relationship with God. This ministry is open to practicing Catholics who desire to share a love of the Lord and their faith. Enthusiasm and a positive attitude are a must! Resources are provided.
Faith Sharing Groups
    Groups of approximately 8-12 people meet monthly for the purpose of growing in their faith by means of prayer and dialogue. Everyone is welcome. Mentoring is provided.
Family Life
    This ministry seeks to support families of all configurations by providing resources and traditions to be used in the home and offering opportunities to connect with the parish in activities This ministry meets September and January for overall planning sessions. Mini meetings or phone meetings for specific projects are as needed. All are welcome.
Youth Ministry Grades 6-12
    This ministry responds to the needs of our youth and shares their unique gifts with the larger community. People are needed as:
      Catechists: Middle School-Tuesdays 7:15-8:30pm High School-day and time to be announced.
      Youth Ministry Team: Adults and Middle/High School youth are welcome to meet to develop and incorporate components of comprehensive youth ministry in the parish.
    Training is provided.
Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults
    RCIA is the process by which adults and children are initiated into our faith. People are needed to welcome and accompany those inquiring about our Catholic faith by sharing their faith stories. Training is provided.

INTERFAITH COUNCIL

This group seeks to promote interfaith understanding and cooperation, and provide collective ministries to the community, such as the food pantry, meals on wheels, holiday baskets, workshops, discussion groups, and a seder service. All are welcome, we meet the 3rd Tuesday of every month at Hamilton Union Presbyterian Church.

LEGION OF MARY

Blessed Mother of Christ the King Presidium

This international Legion places before its members a mode of life. It encourages the observance of Christian principles and helps one to persevere in Christian perfection through qualities such as faith, self sacrifice, humility and love of Mary. All are welcome. We meet each Monday at 10:15am in church. Training is provided and there is a three month period of discernment to see if this ministry is for you.

MUSIC

Youth Choir
    The Youth Choir consists of children ages 7-12 and rehearses in the daily Mass chapel at 9am on Sunday mornings. This group sings at various liturgies and events throughout the year. A calendar will be given to families at our first rehearsal.
Funeral Choir
    This ministry provides support in song to grieving families at the funeral liturgy. A love of singing and the flexibility to be available in the mornings on short notice are all that is needed. We rehearse in September and January.
Instrumentalists
    Anyone playing an instrument is welcome to participate. At least 2 years of experience on your instrument is necessary. We are always in need of players for special occasions. Rehearsals depend upon your availability and how you choose to participate.
Choir
    A group of dedicated singers who help to lead the assembly at the 10:00am Mass and special occasions. We meet every Wednesday at 7:15pm in church. Although we are grateful for those who can commit to an annual schedule (September to June), we are also eager to have people join us on a seasonal basis (Advent, Christmas, Lent, Easter).
Contemporary Music Group
    Singers and instrumentalists 13 years of age or beyond are welcome to join this group for Sunday liturgies at 12 noon (September-June). Young musicians who are willing to commit to this group do not have to attend religious education classes. We rehearse Thursday evenings at 7:00pm in church.
Bell/Chime Choir
    This new ministry will play Chimes several times a year for special occasions. hand chimes create a very special type of music for worship and other events. Some light music reading is helpful, but, training is provided to those eager to be a part of this group. All ages welcome. Weekly rehearsal day to be determined.

PRAYER AND WORSHIP Altar Servers
    This ministry assists the presider at all liturgical celebrations. We especially welcome middle-schoolers to become mentors. This ministry is open to all ages and training is provided.
Charismatic Prayer Group
    We are a group devoted to offering prayer of praise and thanksgiving in a charismatic format. We also share scripture and God's work in our lives. Our format includes intercessory prayer for the parish at Christ the King, and all those who have a need. All are welcome. We meet Monday evenings 6:30-7:45pm in church.
Eucharistic Ministers
    This ministry aids in the distribution of the body and blood of Our Lord at Eucharistic celebrations. A deep love of the Eucharist and Mass are required. Training is provided.
Faith Sharing Groups
    These groups usually meet on a monthly basis for the purpose of growing in the Lord and in faith experience by means of prayer, sharing, dialogue and discussion. Everyone is welcome. A number of groups already exist and we are always open to establishing new groups. Mentoring is provided.
Greeters and Ushers
    Welcome and hospitality are part and parcel of the Christian life. Members of this group represent the whole parish when they minister to those who gather for prayer: making them feel at home, comfortable and ready to pray. All individuals and families are welcome. Training is provided.
Lectors
    Lectors proclaim the scriptures at all Masses on Sundays and Holy Days. All who can read God's story and convey it's meani to the assembled are welcome to join. Your reading schedule depends upon the number of lectors. Training and a workbook are provided. Meetings are a few times a year.
Offertory Ministers
    Offertory ministers assist in taking up the financial offering at the Eucharist. All individuals and families are welcome. Training is provided.
Petition Readers
    Petition readers are young people who lead the worshiping community in the general intercessions of the liturgy. Training is provided.

CHRIST THE KING SCHOOL

Tutors
    CTK is accepting assistance for tutoring in all subject areas and all grade levels. You need only a desire to work with children. Our teachers will be happy to guide you.
Substitute Teachers
    CTK is accepting assistance from qualified persons who could serve as substitute teachers.
Marriage Preparation
    This ministry consists of married couples willing to mentor couples contemplating a Catholic marriage. We meet as needed. Training is provided.
Help
    CTK is in need of people who are handy and willing to assist our maintenance person on occasional projects.
Office Help
    People available to assist with monthly mailings and other office chores.

SOCIAL ACTIVITIES Activity Planning
    This committee plans and coordinates various social activities during the year. The ultimate goal is to involve parishioners to the greatest extent possible in these activities. There are occasional meetings to discuss planning activities and assign responsibilities.
Bakers and Cooks
    You are called on a rotational basis as needed to provide food or baked goods. There are no meetings.
Coffee Hour Help
    This group helps with coffee and donuts after Mass. Anyone is welcome to assist in this ministry. Teams are used about every 6 weeks. There are no meetings.

SOCIAL JUSTICE

The social justice committee seeks to extend our call to "love one another" as the Lord has loved us, to neighbors beyond our parish boundaries. As our Pope and our nation's bishops urge us, we look for those neighbors in most serious need in our society, as well as those in other countries. The goal is to create long term solutions so that these people, or groups of people, will become better able to help themselves. The successes from thi effort to "work for the common good" can benefit all of us. All are welcome.

WELCOME MINISTRY

This ministry serves the parish by extending a warm welcome to new parishioners and providing them with information about our church community. There are various ways in which you can serve in this ministry from making welcoming phone calls to greeting guests after masses. Join us in reaching out to our newest members!
